Ramps are a hyper seasonal allium that are in the scallion and leak family. They have a light garlic/onion taste. (If i were an allium I would be a Ramp). So when I found them at Whole Foods, I was stunned. You can use ramps in Pesto, chimichuri, pasta, butter (The list goes on).
Where To Find Ramps
Farmers Markets
Forage Them Yourself- Commonly found in wooded areas(woodlands and hardwood forests), streams and by maple trees
Whole Foods (not sure if they supply them nationwide)
If you happen to forage them, make sure to mainly take the leaves and stems leaving the roots behind so they can grow again!

Limoncello Spritz Recipe
