Brunch season is upon us. If you’re anything like me you enjoy nothing less than a sunny day, a patio, aesthetic food and good vibes.
This may sound a little contradictory since I worked in the Restaurant Industry for so long and I love brunch food but I have come to the conclusion Brunch is the most over priced/over rated outing that has ever existed. So instead I am bringing brunch home to you.
I had some friends over this past weekend and made a little spritz station. If you are hosting, the best thing you can do is set up a beverage station that your friends and family can easily maneuver. Make a garnish station with cut fruit and skewers, wine, aperitifs and soda. (mimosa station, old fashioned station). The list goes on, you get the gist.

Here are three of my favorite Spritz Recipes
Aperol Spritz
4 oz Prosecco
2 Dashes Orange Bitters
2 oz. Aperol
Squeeze of Lemon Juice
Splash of Soda
Orange Slice For Garnish
Grapefruit Lillet Spritz
4 oz. Sparkling Rose
1.5 oz. Grapefruit Juice
2 oz. Lillet Blanc
Splash of Soda
Mint sprig and grapefruit for garnish
Hugo Spritz - one of my personal favorites
4 oz. Prosecco
1 oz. St. Germain
4-6 Mint leaves muddled
Squeeze of Lemon Juice
Splash of Soda

Whipped Ricotta Toast Recipe
Recipe for 4:
2/3 Cup Ricotta Cheese
2 Tbsp Heavy Cream
1 Tbsp Honey
2 tsp Olive oil
2 Cups Blackberries
2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
1 Tbsp Water
3 Tbsp Sugar
Pinch of salt
Lemon zest
Bread of your choice. (my choice is sourdough)
In a sauce pan on medium low heat add blackberries, water, lemon juice and sugar. Stir occasionally until blackberries begin to break down and are softened into a jam like consistency. (You can make this in advance!)
In a food processor or blender add ricotta, heavy cream, honey and olive oil. Whip until creamy and smooth. Add to a piping bag and add to toast. Scoop over blackberry compote, drizzle of olive oil, and lemon zest.
Another amazing brunch idea is the classic eggs benedict.
I posted the full recipe recently, you can find it here :)

Last but certainly not least. Brioche French Toast with a Strawberry compote.
