Hello and Happy Monday/New Year to my favorite people :)
I am one of those people who like to say that January 6th marks the official kick off to my new year… I really like easing into a refreshed routine rather than waking up with a hangover new years day and going full throttle with a new year-new mindset.
During these few days I prepped my space for success. Cleaned the house, organized my dry storage (because lord knows it needed it), restocked and grocery shopped, wrote down a list of goals and really took some time to re-energize and re-inspire myself for recipes in this new year.

My food/kitchen Ins and Outs for 2025
(don’t take this list personal!)
Ins:
Diversifying your dinner rotation
Challenging yourself in the kitchen
Miso Paste
Deli Containers
Fun/Personalized Style Coffee Mugs
Local Meat/Butcher
Splatter Cookware
Espresso
Earlywood Spatulas
Homemade Broths/Stocks
Crushed Calabrian Chilies
Parsnips (they are severely underrated)
Mezcal
Gardening
Baking
Minimizing food waste
Outs:
Buying “cool” looking-labeled products- make sure it’s actually worth the extra money, whether it’s because of good farming practices or quality ingredients. Aesthetics shouldn’t be the only reason :).
Keurigs- pour over/french press is so much better -and better for you.
teflon
plastic utensils
boring salad dressings
throwing out leftovers/wasting food
hoarding condiments/cans/dry good (this is a realization after my pantry clean out)
processed foods
store bought coffee syrups (it’s cheaper to make your own! I’ll be sharing some soon!)
